As teachers, we focus on self-expression and creativity with all our students. In addition to thoroughly covering the basic rudiments of music, we ask our students to put something of themselves into the music they create. As a result, music lessons are not just another responsibility in life, they are an outlet for self-expression and a source of enjoyment. We believe that everyone is born with some degree of musical ability. As music educators, it is our goal to help students find their musical ability and nurture it.
I want to thank you both for the opportunity you've given Jessica at the Orange Park School om Music. We have seen (heard) a major improvement in her piano playing.
Ms. Lynn is a fabulous teacher! She has tought Jessica a nice variety of music that matches Jessica's personality. Thank you all.
I've gone to a couple fo different places for lessons, but the Orange Park School of Music is the first place where I feel I'm truly learning to play. This past year I have gotten much better technically as well as with my undertanding of theory.
Music Tip: Guitars
Play Hard: It seems like a "no-brainer" concept. The act of actually pushing on the strings harder and holding the chords longer will strengthen your fingers and create muscle memory faster. This action will ensure each note is hit with strong intent and will help prevent strings from rising above the frets.
